Web Tag Dialog Box
The Web Tag Dialog assigns information to objects (points, lines, and areas). This can be done either individually to each object or it can be done globally using information loaded into MAPublisher® from an imported attribute table. This information is used to create interactive Web tags (callout bubbles).
The style and look of the interactive tags can be customized to your preferences. To be more flexible, properties of interactive objects can be individually adjusted after applying a global style to map objects.
MAP Web Author function descriptions
| Web artwork | An object (point, line, or polygon) attached with a callout bubble. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Callout bubbles | A balloon shaped object attached with an object (point, line, or polygon). This appears when a user clicks or hovers on web artwork. More specifically, when a user hovers on a web artwork, it only shows its title. When a user clicks on a web artwork, it shows all the content in the callout bubble. At any time, click Callout Preview to see what the callout looks like. It can be left open and it will update itself with any changes that are made in the dialog box. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Title | A smaller balloon shaped object than a callout bubble. The title for a callout bubble appears when a user hovers on a web artwork. Also, the title will appear at the top of the callout bubble when a user clicks web artwork. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Image | Images can be inserted into callout bubbles. Supported image formats are JPEG, GIF, and PNG. When inserting an image using the options in the Callout Image frame, it will be positioned (by default) to the left of the callout. However, if you insert an image using the <img> tag in the context box, the positioning and alignment (i.e. left, center, or right) can be adjusted. When inserting an image using the options in the Callout Image frame, you can change the dimensions of the image. However, if you are applying the image path using an attribute field value (e.g. /ImageFile/AB.png from this tutorial example), the image dimensions cannot be changed and the actual image files should be sized appropriately before insertion. When an image is loaded properly, the Image Path displays the file path. |
