The Graphics Force Technology

The basic premise behind Avenza’s technology developments is that users want better interactivity with software, speed and flexibility in how they get, view, select and assimilate information. Within the 'component module' concept, the initial focus is on Graphic Data Management—a next logical step beyond text search engines and the hypertext concept. If data or attributes have been built around an object (graphic, pictorial) as is now the case with creating maps for analysis, the Company's technology can query, search, and import data for management or customization purposes.

Avenza’s core technology is perfectly suited to many applications in this emerging 'component module' environment.

This technology, already developed for our first program, MAPublisher, built as a plugin suite for Adobe Illustrator, allows users to manage, work with and customize attributes, or data sets, in a high-end graphics program. This program environment offers practicality, freedom and easy maneuverability to, and within, all other types of programs for fast, cost-efficient, professional graphic output results. MAPublisher is the first true application component developed for Adobe Illustrator and from it we have derived various solution-based software modules that have been designed to increase productivity and provide a simpler, hassle-free mapping environment.

Following the success of MAPublisher, attention was turned to geospatial imagery and the manipulation of  raster data using Adobe Photoshop. Geographic Imager was subsequently released as a geospatial plugin suite for Adobe Photoshop.

Together,  MAPublisher and Geographic Imager provide a uniquely powerful spatial solution around Adobe Creative Suite that presents a strong alternative to other more complex and expensive alternatives.
