Geographic Imager 3.3 Panel Installation Issue on Mac OS 10.7
The Adobe Creative Suite SDK Team confirmed that there is a bug in Adobe Extension Manager CS5 and CS5.5 that prevented extensions from being installed on Mac OS 10.7. (Adobe: Creative Suite SDK Team Web page). This affects the installation of Geographic Imager for Adobe Photoshop CS5 and CS5.5 on Mac 10.7. This does not affect Windows users.
Symptom:
After the Geographic Imager installer is complete, start Adobe Photoshop. The extension "Geographic Imager" is not available from Window > Extensions. As a result, Geographic Imager Main panel will not be available.
Solution:
Currently, our development team is working on this issue. Also, Adobe announced that the fix for this issue will ne available in the next two weeks through Adobe Update Manager. Meanwhile, below is a temporary solution provided by Adobe team for developers and end users.
Step 1: Checking the Adobe Extension Manager version
In order to install any Adobe Extension including Geographic Imager Flash panel, Adobe Extension Manager must be version 5.0.334 for CS5 users and 5.5.1.019 for CS5.5 users.
You can check the version of Adobe Extension manager you have with this method:
1) Start Adobe Extension Manager. The application is located at ../Application/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/
2) From the top menu bar, go to Extension Manager, then select About Extension Manager.
3) If the version is not indicated as "version: 5.0.334", upgrade the Adobe Extension Manager. The step will be illustrated in Step 2 below.
For CS5.5 (Photoshop CS 5.1) users, the version of Adobe Extension Manager must be 5.5.1.019 or newer.
Step 2: Upgrading the Adobe Extension Manager
1) Start Adobe Photoshop and go to Help > Updates.
2) Select the Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5 option for updates.
Step 3: Download the file with the fix
To download the filewith fix, please visit this web page from Adobe Creative Suite SDK Team. Select an appropriate version of Creative Suite you have (CS5 or CS5.5) and download the ZIP file available on the site.
Once you extract the ZIP file, you will find a file called ExMan.swf. This is the file with the fix and we will now place this file to an appropriate folder.
Step 4: Placing the file with the fix
1) Open a new Finder window and navigate to the folder with Adobe Extension Manager. The application is located at ../Application/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/
2) Right-click Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app, then select the option Show Package Contents.

3) Browse to Contents/MacOS/ to find the file ExMan.swf.
4) Simply replace this ExMan.swf file with the new one just downloaded from the Adobe Creative Suite SDK team web site.
Step 5: Installing Geographic Imager Panel
Finally, install the Geographic Imager panel. You have two options: 1) run the Geographic Imager installer again or 2) install the Geographic Imager manually as shown below. The instruction for option 2 here. It is assumed that you already have installed Geographic Imager on your computer and you are experiencing the issue that Geographic Imager panel is not available when Adobe Photoshop CS5/CS5.1 is launched.
