Hi David,

Thank you for your post! We are aware of this issue and we can provide you with a fix. This error occurs when you have not yet created a new document in Illustrator. In order to fix this, please reopen Illustrator and click “Create New” to create a new document before opening the MAPublisher Importer. Once you create a new document first, that preference will be written and the error will not happen again even if you open Illustrator and click Import before creating a new document.
