    Hi folks,
I am new to the MapPublisher product and I have a basic question. I have many existing Illustrator maps that I would like to add GIS data too. I know how to add shapefiles etc, but I need to know how to take existing maps that are not referenced and geo-reference them to my GIS data. That is how do I assign Geo-referencing information to Adobe Illustrator Layers that are already existing in the pretty maps I have?
Is there a video that can take me though “retro fitting” my Illustrator maps perhaps?

    thanks!

    Hello Larisa,

Thank you for contacting Avenza Support. We do have some instructions on georeferencing using MAPublisher. Here are some links you could use:

    “Georeferencer”:http://www.avenza.com/help/mapublisher/10.1/index.html?georeferencer.htm
“Using Georeferencer to Reference Vector Data”:http://www.avenza.com/help/mapublisher/10.1/index.html?using-georeferencer-to-reference.htm

You can also contact us via the following link http://help.avenza.com/customer/portal/emails/new?b_id=13809 and provide us with further detail about your data and your file for more customized suggestions.
