I had to get a new tablet recently and have avenza back up and running. I found a copy of a map I’d hoped to use soon, but it will not upload it, saying it is an unsupported file type. The map is from 2017. Is it possible something has changed since then that will not allow me to use it?
Thank you for your post. As long as the map is a geospatial PDF or a GeoTIFF you should be able to import it without any issue. In addition to these two, we also support JPG as long as they are in a zipped folder with the applicable reference files. What file format is the map?

Thank you for the additional information. KMLs can only be imported into an existing map as they contain features (points, lines, areas), and as such are not the map file itself. This is why you are seeing that error message. To import this file:
1. Open a map that covers the area you need
2. Tap the map features icon (pin with 3 lines) at the bottom right of the screen)
3. Depending on which platform you are using tap the ‘+’ icon (Android) or the square with the downward arrow (iOS) to import features
4. Navigate to where the KML is stored and select it for import
