    Hi
I need to load a georeferenced image from a CAD-program into Avenza Maps, but when I do the export I only get either:

    xxxx.tif
    xxxx.tfw

    or

    yyyy.jpg
    yyyy.jgw

This is usually enough as it writes the Shifts and Rotations in the JGW or TFW file.
Ive tried uploading both, and also zipping them together, but Avenza won’t recognize them as referenced.

Is it possible to create the WKT or PRj manually, or is there a workaround to get this to work?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post!

The app currently supports the import of GeoTIFF (.tiff, .tif file embedded with geographic information) and JPG (.jpg) files that must be packaged with either a TFW & PRJ or JGW & WKT in a ZIP file. Are you on a version of AutoCAD that supports the export of GeoTIFF files? You’re missing the partner for both of the .tfw (.prj) and .jgw (.wkt) – is there any way you can retrieve these files? If you can try and manually create them, it may be possible to import them into the app so long as they are paired with the correct file and the .jpg in a ZIP file.

If you don’t mind sending those files to us we can take a look into this further. Feel free to contact us or send the files to help.avenzamaps.com.

    All the best,

    Hello Andrea
    Thanks for your reply.
I’m actually working on finding a solution for this for a customer of ours, who are working with Avenza Maps and our Trimble Business Center – HCE.
We cannot get the .prj or .wkt from that software, I will for sure send the data to you to look into.
