Hi, I normally use DIVA-GIS and GADM to download country wide vector data but downloads from the websites do not seem to be working lately. Does anyone know whether this is a problem that is being worked on or any other similar sites with country wide data for downloads?

Also, is there anywhere that it is possible to download opensource depth contours for the sea around land masses?

    Hello Charles,

Thank you for your post. I’m sorry, I don’t know if there are any issues with those sites or the status of when they were will be operational. Hopefully, someone else on the forum will have some insight into the issue.

In regards to some other country vector data, you could potentially get some GIS data from ArcGIS’s Hub, or USGS, or data.gov. I don’t know all the terms of use policies or if you need to credit the data source in some way, but those could be helpful. For the sea specifically, I believe the NOAA has some data that you can use.
