The #FontFamily column in the Map Attribue table shows the font as “Frutiger LT Std 45 Light”
The Illustrator ‘Character’ panel shows the font as “Frutiger LT Std 66 Bold Italic Light”.
A Map Selection for the “-45 LIght” will find the type with that “font” on the layer searched – but a Map Selection for the “-66 Bold Italic Light” says ‘No Art was Found”
There is a “Frutiger LT Std 56 Italic” in the document – but not “-45 Light”.
Why does the MaPublisher show and find the “-45 Light” – but not the ’56 or 66’?
Thank you for your post! After doing some testing, I think that it’s possible that the font name in the font file itself is mislabelled. MAPublisher is likely pulling that mislabelled name into the MAP Attribute Table as the value for #FontFamily. To check this, please open up your system’s Control Panel > Appearance and Personalisation > Fonts, and find the relevant Frutiger font file (Frutiger LT Std 66 Bold Italic Light). Right-click on the file and select Preview. At the very top, there should be a line for “Font name.” If the font name is “Frutiger LT Std 45 Light” then this is likely causing the discrepancy that you’re seeing between MAPublisher and Illustrator.
Please let me know if that’s the case! If not, it would be helpful to see the file you’re working with and the font files. If you can send us these files, please do so via the Support Centre form (“Get Help”) on help.avenza.com.
All the best,
