How do I get ‘Miles’ as the unit label in the Scale Bar rather than ‘US Survey Miles’?

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for your post. This can be done by adjusting the scale bar label to reflect “Miles”. To do this, while in the scale bar settings go to the Labels tab, then Customize Labels at the bottom. You will then want to adjust the Ratio Label to reflect the unit you’d rather display. For example:

    Existing label – 1 %page_unit% = %world_per_page% %world_units%
Displays as – 1 inch = 157 US Survey Miles

    Change to – 1 %page_unit% = %world_per_page% Miles
    Displays as – 1 inch = 157 Miles

Within the Customize Labels, you will see the definitions for the variables that are being used, and you can customize further to get the exact result you want.
