    Hello,

Thank you for your post! The maps will allow ‘Copy to Avenza Maps’ in Safari because Safari is a native iOS app. The option to ‘Copy to Avenza Maps’ within other browsers is a function of the browser itself and not always within our control. Officially we only support Safari for iOS and Chrome for Android but we can look into linking the ‘share with’ functionality with other browsers.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!

    Hello,

Thank you for your post! Unfortunately, you cannot view 2 maps at the same time. You can put your maps into a collection, which will allow you to swipe between the 2 maps instead of having to go back to the menu and select the other map.
There are steps on how to make a collection on iOS here:http://help.avenzamaps.com/customer/portal/articles/2460955
    And on Android here:http://help.avenzamaps.com/customer/portal/articles/2515058

    Hi Roy,

We do not recommend downloading APKs from the internet. If you download the APK from the internet we cannot be held liable if there are any issues, and we do not support any versions prior to Avenza Maps 3.3 because we do not support Android OS 4.4.

If you decide to download the APK from the internet, the version that you need is Avenza Maps 3.2.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Hello,

Thank you for your post! Avenza Maps is only compatible with Android OS 5.0 and newer. If you are able to update your Android OS to version 5.0 or newer, you will be able to download Avenza Maps from the Google Play Store. You can check to see if your device can update by going to your device Settings > About.

If you have any further questions please let me know!

    Hi Bradley,

Thank you for your post! You are correct, if you import 2 maps, then delete 2 maps, you will be able to import 2 more maps. If you are using the app for recreational purposes, there is a subscription ‘Unlock Map Imports’ which will allow you to import an unlimited number of your own maps. If you are using the app for non-recreational purposes, then you require a Pro subscription which includes unlimited custom map imports, shapefile support, and other Pro specific features. If you are interested in purchasing a subscription, you can do so in the app by going to Settings > Upgrade Account.

If you have further questions please let me know!

    Hi Ruben,

Thank you for your post! What projection is your document in? If it is not in a projected coordinate system, then you will not be able to set your buffer to miles, kilometers or meters etc. Please perform a coordinate system transformation to a projected coordinate system. After doing so you will be able to select the unit of measurement you’re looking for.

If you have further questions please let me know!

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for post. When you are looking at your location in your Map Collection, is the GPS/Compass follow option on? If you are on an Android, at the top toolbar, to the left of the Add Placemark tool, there is a compass/GPS button (on iOS, bottom toolbar beside Add Placemark). Tap that to turn that on the ‘Follow me’ option, which will allow your GPS to follow your location.

Are your maps far apart in the collection? If they do not line up side to side or overlap slightly and there is a gap between the maps, that could be why it is not automatically following your location.

Once the GPS/Compass is turned on to ‘Follow me’ (the circle on Android will be full, on iOS the arrow will be coloured in), the app will follow your location.

If none of the above solves your issue, please send an email to support@avenza.com with the titles of the maps, as well as specifics about your device (make, model, app version).

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for your post. Your map collection is stored within the app and is not available to be exported. You can do a full backup of your device using an app called Helium, but you cannot export any of the maps off of your device. We recommend backing up your data (placemarks, lines/tracks) regularly, so please do that before you reset your device. There is information on how to export map features available here: http://help.avenzamaps.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2460172-exporting-map-features-android-
If you run a full backup using Helium, all your map features should be kept with the maps

If you do not back up your device, your imported maps will have to be reimported, and your store maps redownloaded from your Map Store account. You will also have to reimport your map features (placemarks, tracks/lines).

Let me know if you have any other questions!
