MAPublisher LabelPro™ Licensing Configurations

Fixed Licensing: Fixed licenses offer the user a node locked license that can only be used on one machine. (These options can be created and retrieved through the MAPublisher License Management dialog)

Floating Licensing: Floating licenses offer the ability to place a specified number of licenses on a server that can be checked out by numerous client machines. (All Floating licenses are created by Avenza Sales and cannot be created or retrieved from the licensing server through the MAPublisher License Management dialog)

	Supported licensing configurations can be registered and the licenses retrieved through the MAPublisher License Management dialog.
	Unsupported licensing configurations cannot be used and will not work with MAPublisher and LabelPro.
	Restricted licensing configurations cannot be registered and the licenses cannot be retrieved through the MAPublisher License Management dialog. Please contact Avenza for more information.

Third-party font managers: Avenza Systems can not guarantee MAPublisher LabelPro is compatible with third-party font managers for Windows or Mac.

MAPublisher Spatial Database Licensing Configurations

To use ESRI geodatabases in MAPublisher, the minimum license required is ESRI ArcGIS Engine—higher licenses that apply are ArcView, ArcEditor and ArcInfo. MAPublisher Spatial Database only works on systems with Windows operating systems.

The direct access to feature classes on an ArcSDE Server requires only the free ESRI desktop application ArcReader. File and Personal Geodatabases cannot be read. With this licensing configuration, the access to files with Basic ESRI ArcSDE Server connections is limited compared to the ESRI ArcSDE Geodatabase connections.
